Synopsis: The story follows a young boy named Chaoren, who overhears his parents discussing how they knowingly sell vegetables contaminated with harmful chemicals and pesticides, caring only about profit and not about the health of consumers. Chaoren internalizes this mindset and later feeds chemically treated vegetables to a friend at a football camp. The friend does not return the next day, and Chaoren smiles with joy, illustrating how the parents' moral corruption has been passed down to the next generation.
