Mot (Korean: 못) is a South Korean rock band. The band name is derived from 연못 (Yeonmot), the Korean word for "pond." The band currently consists of Eaeon, Cho Namyeol, Yoo Woongryeol, Song Inseob, and Lee Hayoon. Since their formation in 1996, they have released three studio albums.

Career
Mot was first formed in 1996 as a one-man project by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Eaeon (real name Lee Yong-hyun). The band name comes from the Korean word for "pond," chosen to reflect the calm and mysterious atmosphere of their music. In 2001, Eaeon posted an online notice seeking musicians who enjoyed Portishead, Radiohead, and The Smashing Pumpkins, and guitarist Z.EE responded, turning the project into a duo.
Their debut studio album, Non-Linear (비선형), was released in 2004 and received critical acclaim, ranking 59th on the top 100 Korean albums list compiled by Kyunghyang Shinmun. The band also contributed to the soundtrack of the 2004 film Some. In 2005, they won the Rookie of the Year award at the Korean Music Awards.
Their second album, Strange Season (이상한 계절), was released in 2007 and won Best Modern Rock Album at the 2008 Korean Music Awards. Following this, the band went on hiatus due to Eaeon's vocal cord nodule and Z.EE's departure from the group in 2008. Eaeon subsequently pursued a solo career, releasing his first solo studio album Guilt-Free in 2012.
In 2015, session musicians from Eaeon's solo project—Cho Namyeol, Yoo Woongryeol, Song Inseob, and Lee Hayoon—joined Mot as new members. The band announced their return with a performance at the Grand Mint Festival. Their third studio album, Ashcraft (재의 기술), was released in 2016. In 2017, they hosted a collaborative fashion show with the brand A.AV.
