Molyndeia (Ancient Greek: Μολύνδεια) was a town of ancient Lycia, a region in what is now southwestern Anatolia, Turkey. The town is known only from literary sources, primarily the Ethnica of Stephanus of Byzantium, who recorded it as a Lycian settlement. According to the Paulys Realencyclopädie der classischen Altertumswissenschaft (RE), the town was said to have been named after a figure named Molyndaios, as reported by the historian Alexander Polyhistor, who was cited by Stephanus.
The exact location of Molyndeia has not been identified. The Barrington Atlas of the Greek and Roman World (2000) lists the site as unlocated. It is included among the 85 known poleis (city-states) of ancient Lycia in scholarly surveys of the region's settlement history. No archaeological remains have been securely associated with the site, and no inscriptions bearing the name have been discovered to date.
