Mitchell River (Quesnel River tributary)

The Mitchell River is a tributary of the Quesnel River in the Cariboo region of British Columbia, Canada. It flows generally east from its source in the Cariboo Mountains to its confluence with the Quesnel River near Likely, British Columbia. The river's watershed is largely undeveloped and characterized by dense forests and mountainous terrain. Mining and forestry activities have occurred historically and continue to be present within the watershed, although the river primarily retains a wilderness character. The Mitchell River is known for its salmon spawning runs and supports populations of various fish species, including trout. Its remoteness contributes to its ecological value.
