Mississippi Highway 332

Mississippi Highway 332 (MS 332) is a state‑maintained highway located in central Mississippi. The entire 3.344 mi (5.382 km) route lies within Grenada County and is part of the Mississippi State Highway System.

Route description
The western terminus of MS 332 is at U.S. Route 51 (US 51) in the city of Grenada. From this junction the highway proceeds northeastward through a mixture of farmland and forested areas, passing Main Street and crossing a former Grenada Railroad line. It continues northward, intersecting local roads such as Heatcraft Drive and Air Industrial Park Road before reaching the perimeter of Grenada Municipal Airport. State maintenance ends just beyond the airport entrance at Mayor Boone Airport Road. The roadway then continues northeast to its eastern terminus at Toe Road, which provides access to the Grenada Lake area and connects to Mississippi Highway 333 Scenic.

History
The alignment that became MS 332 existed as a gravel road as early as 1928, extending from north of Grenada to the Grenada–Yalobusha county line. In 1932 the road was incorporated into MS 7 and was paved by 1939. Following the construction of Grenada Lake (1946‑1948), the segment of MS 7 that ran along the lake’s northwest shore was realigned. In 1958 the former segment was redesignated as MS 332, a designation that remains in use.

Administration
MS 332 is legally defined in Mississippi Code § 65‑3‑3. The highway is maintained jointly by the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

Traffic
MDOT traffic counts in 2015 recorded an average daily traffic volume of approximately 2,900 vehicles east of US 51, decreasing to about 930 vehicles east of Mayor Boone Airport Road.
