The Ministry of Finance of Lesotho (formally the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning) is the government ministry responsible for the public finances of the Kingdom of Lesotho. It oversees financial management, macroeconomic policy, resource allocation, and development planning for the country. The ministry is headquartered in Maseru, the capital of Lesotho, at Finance House on High Court Road.
Responsibilities
The ministry is tasked with managing the national budget, formulating fiscal policy, overseeing public expenditure, managing government revenue, and coordinating development planning. Its stated vision is to be a world-class institution in macroeconomic and public finance management, accountable and of service to the Basotho people.
