Mindaugas Maldonis is a Lithuanian sprint canoeist who represents his country in international competitions, including the Olympic Games and ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships. He primarily competes in kayak events, such as the K-2 and K-4 categories over distances of 500 meters.
Maldonis participated in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo (held in 2021), where he competed in the men's K-1 200 meters event. He also qualified for and competed in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, participating in the K-2 500 meters and K-4 500 meters events.
In international championships, Maldonis has achieved notable success. At the 2022 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, he won a silver medal in the K-2 500 meters event alongside teammate Andrej Olijnik. He has also secured podium finishes at various European Championships and World Cup events, establishing himself as a key figure in Lithuania’s sprint canoeing program.
