Mikuru Suzuki

Definition
Mikuru Suzuki (鈴木 美来, born 13 December 1997) is a Japanese professional darts player who competes in events organised by the World Darts Federation (WDF) and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). She is notably the 2022 WDF Women’s World Champion and the first Japanese player to win a major world darts title.

Overview
Suzuki began playing darts competitively in the late 2010s, quickly rising through the Japanese domestic circuit. She earned her first international exposure at the 2020 WDF Europe Cup, where she reached the quarter‑finals in the women’s singles. In 2022, Suzuki captured the WDF Women’s World Championship by defeating Trina Gulliver in the final, becoming the first Asian woman to hold the title.

Her success on the WDF stage led to invitations to PDC events. Suzuki made her PDC World Darts Championship debut at the 2023 tournament, where she upset former world champion Fallon Sherrock in the first round before losing to top‑seeded Beau Greaves in the second round. She has since participated in the 2024 PDC World Championship, reaching the second round again.

Suzuki is a regular representative for Japan in international team competitions, including the WDF Europe Cup and the WDF World Cup. Aside from her competitive achievements, she is a prominent figure in promoting darts within Japan, frequently appearing in media campaigns and providing coaching clinics for youth players.
