Mikhail Simonyan (Russian: Михаил Симонян; born October 18, 1985) is a Russian-Armenian classical violinist. Recognized for his virtuosity and musicality from an early age, he has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras and conductors, establishing a significant international career.
Early Life and Education Born in Novosibirsk, Soviet Union (now Russia), Simonyan began playing the violin at the age of five. His exceptional talent was quickly recognized, leading him to move to the United States to further his musical education. He studied at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, a renowned conservatory for highly gifted young musicians, where he honed his skills under prominent violinists and pedagogues.
Career Simonyan made his orchestral debut at the age of 13 with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, marking the beginning of his professional career.
