Mikhail Elgin

Mikhail Naimanovich Elgin (Russian: Михаил Наимович Елгин; born 14 October 1981) is a Russian professional tennis player. Primarily a doubles specialist, he achieved a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 59 in April 2012.

Early life

Elgin was born on 14 October 1981, in Saint Petersburg, then known as Leningrad, in the Russian SFSR of the Soviet Union.

Career

Elgin turned professional in 2000. While he competed in singles for a significant portion of his career, reaching a career-high singles ranking of World No. 272 in September 2008, his most notable achievements have come in doubles.
