Mike de Vries

Mike de Vries (born 22 May 1999) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a forward for Eerste Divisie club FC Emmen.

Early life and Youth Career

De Vries was born in Groningen, Netherlands. He began his footballing journey in youth academies, including SC Angelslo and HZVV, before joining the youth setup of FC Emmen, a prominent club in his region.

Senior Career

De Vries made his senior debut with FC Emmen. During his time with the club, he has been loaned out to various teams to gain experience and playing time.

  • FC Emmen (2018–present): After progressing through the youth ranks, De Vries signed a professional contract with FC Emmen.
  • HZVV (loan, 2019–2020): He had an initial loan spell back at HZVV, a club he previously played for in his youth.
  • HHC Hardenberg (loan, 2020–2021): De Vries then moved to Tweede Divisie club HHC Hardenberg on loan.
  • TEC (loan, 2021–2022): His career continued with another loan spell, this time at TEC, another club competing in the Tweede Divisie.
  • HHC Hardenberg (loan, 2022–2023): De Vries returned to HHC Hardenberg for a second loan period, further contributing to his development.

As of his return to FC Emmen, he continues to be part of their squad, aiming to establish himself more permanently within the first team. He primarily operates as a forward, known for his attacking contributions.
