Mihai Sturzu (born September 14, 1979) is a Romanian singer, songwriter, former politician, and commercial pilot. He is widely recognized as a founding member and lead vocalist of the popular Romanian pop band Hi-Q.
Sturzu's public career began in 1996 when he co-founded the musical group Hi-Q with Dana Nălbaru and Florin Grozea. The band quickly achieved significant popularity in Romania throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, becoming one of the country's most successful pop acts. Hi-Q released numerous hit singles and albums, establishing Sturzu as a prominent figure in the Romanian music industry. He remained with the band until its eventual dissolution in 2014.
Following his extensive musical career, Sturzu transitioned into politics. In the 2012 Romanian legislative elections, he was elected as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies, representing the Social Democratic Party (PSD) for the Vaslui County constituency. He served a full four-year term in the parliament from 2012 to 2016, participating in various legislative activities.
After concluding his political mandate, Sturzu embarked on a new professional direction, pursuing a career in aviation. He successfully trained as a commercial pilot and has since worked for several airlines, focusing entirely on his new profession.
