Michał Marczak (born 1981) is a Polish film director, screenwriter, and cinematographer known for his work in documentary cinema. He graduated from the National Film School in Łódź, where he studied directing.
Career
Marczak gained international recognition with his feature‑length documentary All These Sleepless Nights (Wszystkie te bezsenne noce, 2016). The film, which blends observational documentary with narrative techniques, follows a group of young people in Warsaw over several years. It premiered in the Directors' Fortnight sidebar of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and received the FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) award for best film in the Directors' Fortnight section.
