Meridolum depressum is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Camaenidae. This species is endemic to Australia.
Taxonomy
The species was described by Charles Hedley in 1901 under the binomial name Meridolum depressum. It belongs to the genus Meridolum (Iredale, 1933), within the family Camaenidae. Some taxonomic sources also list the species as Meridolum depressa (Hedley, 1901).
Conservation Status
Meridolum depressum is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (IUCN 2.3). The assessment was conducted by Ponder W. F. and Smith B. in 1996.
Distribution
The species is endemic to Australia. Distribution records indicate its range is within eastern Australia, consistent with the known range of the genus Meridolum, which occurs from southern Queensland south along the New South Wales coast and coastal ranges.
