Merano Ice Trophy

The Merano Ice Trophy is an annual international figure skating competition held in Merano, South Tyrol, Italy. Organized by the Italian Ice Sports Federation (FISG) in collaboration with local skating clubs, the event typically takes place during the autumn or early winter season.

This competition attracts figure skaters from numerous countries, who compete across various disciplines, including men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The Merano Ice Trophy has historically served as an important fixture on the international figure skating calendar. In some years, it has been included as part of the International Skating Union (ISU) Challenger Series, a circuit of senior-level international competitions, providing skaters with opportunities to earn world ranking points and test their programs. In other years, it functions as a B-series international competition, offering valuable competitive experience to both emerging and seasoned athletes.

The event is generally hosted at the Meranarena, an indoor ice rink facility in Merano. Its consistent staging underscores Merano's reputation as a venue for winter sports and contributes to the promotion of figure skating within Italy and on the international stage.
