Memorial Auditorium is a 6,000‑seat indoor arena located on the campus of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, United States. Constructed and opened on December 2, 1952, the facility was dedicated to residents of the Moorhead area who served in World War II and the Korean War. For four decades it was the largest indoor venue in the Fargo‑Moorhead metropolitan area until the opening of the Fargodome.
The arena serves primarily as the home venue for Concordia College’s Cobbers athletic programs, including men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, and wrestling. Permanent seating accommodates 1,800 spectators, while additional bleacher seating raises total capacity to approximately 6,000; floor seating for concerts can increase capacity to up to 7,000. The facility features a wood parquet hardwood playing surface, with an adjacent practice area that uses a synthetic floor.
Memorial Auditorium also houses the administrative offices of Concordia College’s athletic department. The building’s original lower‑level locker rooms were renovated in 2012 in anticipation of the venue’s 60th anniversary. Structural concerns related to uneven snow loads on the roof were reported in early 2013, prompting the temporary relocation of some events to alternative venues such as the Fargodome, Bison Sports Arena, and Scheels Arena in nearby Fargo, North Dakota.
In addition to collegiate sports, the auditorium has hosted a variety of community events and concerts by nationally recognized recording artists over the decades. Its location at 901 8th Street South places it within the larger Jake Christiansen Stadium and Athletic Complex on the Concordia College campus.
