Meg Foster

Meg Foster (born June 14, 1948) is an American actress who has performed in film, television, and theatre since the early 1970s. She is noted for her distinctive pale-blue eyes and for a career that includes both leading and supporting roles in a variety of genres.

Early life and education
Meg Foster was born in Wilmington, North Carolina. She pursued higher education in the performing arts, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre from Northwestern University.

Career

Television
Foster's television debut came in the early 1970s with guest appearances on series such as The Six Million Dollar Man and its spin‑off The Bionic Woman. She later held recurring roles on the police drama Cagney & Lacey (1984–1986) and the historical miniseries The Blue and the Gray (1982). In the 1990s, she appeared in episodic roles on shows including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and The X-Files. Foster also starred as the title character in the short‑lived series The New Adventures of the Lone Ranger (1988).

Film
Foster's film work includes a supporting role in the political thriller The Osterman Weekend (1983). She is perhaps best known in cinema for portraying the Sorceress in the fantasy film Masters of the Universe (1987). Additional film credits include The Initiation of Sarah (1978) and The Edge (1997).
