Matt Baker (born January 15, 1979) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender.
Baker began his career as a trainee at Coventry City, making his professional debut in 1997. He spent several years at Coventry, often on loan to gain first-team experience at clubs including Colchester United and Bristol City. After his time at Coventry, Baker joined Walsall in 2003.
He went on to play for Wycombe Wanderers from 2006-2008. Baker then played for Exeter City between 2008 and 2010. He finished his professional career at Hereford United, playing for the club between 2010 and 2012.
