Matrix Biology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal covering the field of matrix biology. It is published eight times per year by Elsevier and serves as an official journal of both the American Society for Matrix Biology and the International Society for Matrix Biology.
History
The journal was established in 1981 under the title Collagen and Related Research. In 1988, it was renamed Matrix: Collagen and Related Research, and it obtained its current name, Matrix Biology, in 1994.
