Matheus Cassini

Matheus Cassini (born February 15, 1996) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward. Born in São Paulo, Cassini is recognized for his technical proficiency and has represented various clubs across South America, Europe, and North America.

Cassini began his career in the youth academy of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista. He gained significant attention in 2015 as a standout player for the Corinthians squad that won the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, a premier under-20 tournament in Brazil. His performance led to a transfer to the Italian Serie A club U.S. Città di Palermo in mid-2015.

His professional career has been marked by tenures at multiple international clubs. After his time with Palermo, which included a loan spell at Siracusa, Cassini returned to Brazil to join Santos FC. His career subsequently involved stints with various teams, including Inter Zaprešić in Croatia, Amiens SC in France, and Ponte Preta in Brazil.

In the early 2020s, Cassini transitioned to playing in the United States and Israel. He played for Sektzia Ness Ziona in the Israeli Premier League before moving to the USL League One, where he has played for clubs such as Forward Madison FC and South Georgia Tormenta FC.

Cassini holds dual Brazilian and Italian citizenship, which facilitated his movements between South American and European leagues. Throughout his career, he has primarily functioned as a playmaker, utilizing his agility and dribbling skills in offensive roles.
