Martin Jacomb (born 1930) is a British barrister, businessman, and former chairman of the London Stock Exchange. He was educated at Eton College and subsequently at University College, Oxford, where he earned a degree in jurisprudence. Called to the Bar at the Middle Temple, Jacoby practiced as a barrister before moving into corporate governance and finance.
From 1995 to 1999, Jacomb served as the chairman of the London Stock Exchange, overseeing a period of modernization and preparing the market for subsequent technological upgrades. In recognition of his contributions to law and business, he was knighted in 1992, receiving the honour of Knight Bachelor.
Jacomb has held directorships on several major corporations and public bodies, including roles on the boards of major banking and insurance institutions. He has also been involved with charitable and educational organisations, contributing to governance and advisory capacities.
