Martin Frýdek (footballer, born 1992)

[[Martin Frýdek]] (born 24 March 1992) is a [[Czech Republic|Czech]] professional [[association football|footballer]] who primarily plays as a [[defensive midfielder]]. He is also capable of playing as a [[central midfielder]] or occasionally as a [[left-back]].

Frýdek began his youth career in the renowned academy of [[AC Sparta Prague|Sparta Prague]], where he eventually made his senior team debut. After an initial spell with Sparta, he moved to [[FC Slovan Liberec|Slovan Liberec]], where he became a key player. His performances at Liberec led to a return to Sparta Prague.

Following his second spell at Sparta, Frýdek moved abroad, playing for [[FC Luzern]] in the [[Swiss Super League]] and later for [[Aris Thessaloniki FC|Aris Thessaloniki]] in the [[Super League Greece]]. As of 2024, he plays for [[FK Mladá Boleslav]] in the [[Czech First League]].

Frýdek has also represented the [[Czech Republic national football team|Czech Republic]] at various youth levels and has earned caps for the senior national team. He is the son of former Czech international footballer Martin Frýdek Sr.
