Martín Yangüela (born 29 October 2004) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for SD Amorebieta, on loan from Athletic Bilbao.
Club career Born in Urretxu, Gipuzkoa, Basque Country, Yangüela began his footballing journey at a young age. He joined the prestigious Lezama academy, the youth system of Athletic Bilbao, in 2014 when he was ten years old. He steadily progressed through the various age-group teams within the club.
Yangüela made his senior debut with Athletic Bilbao's feeder team, Basconia, in the Tercera Federación during the 2022–23 season. His promising performances led to his promotion to Bilbao Athletic, the club's reserve team competing in the Primera Federación, for the 2023–24 season.
On 2 January 2024, to gain further first-team experience at a higher level, Yangüela was loaned to SD Amorebieta, a club competing in Spain's Segunda División, for the remainder of the 2023–24 season. He subsequently made his professional debut for Amorebieta.
International career Yangüela has represented Spain at various youth international levels. He has featured for the Spanish under-18 and under-19 national teams, showcasing his potential on the international stage.
