Marc Hensel (born 6 January 1985) is a German former professional footballer and football coach. He played primarily as a midfielder and forward.
Early life and youth career
Hensel was born in Dresden, East Germany. He began his football training in the youth system of Dynamo Dresden, where he developed his technical skills and tactical understanding.

Hensel’s playing career was curtailed by recurring injuries, leading to his retirement from professional competition in 2014.
Coaching career
Following retirement, Hensel transitioned to coaching. He obtained his UEFA coaching licences and served as an assistant coach for Dynamo Dresden’s youth teams between 2015 and 2018. In 2019, he was appointed head coach of Dynamo Dresden II, the club’s reserve side, where he oversaw player development and match preparation.
Post‑football activities
Beyond coaching, Hensel has participated in football community outreach programs in Saxony, focusing on youth engagement and sports education.
