Malik Washington

Malik Washington (born November 23, 2000) is an American professional [[American football]] [[wide receiver]] for the [[Miami Dolphins]] of the [[National Football League]] (NFL). He played [[college football]] for [[Northwestern University]] and the [[University of Virginia]].

Early Life and High School

Washington was born on November 23, 2000, in Snellville, Georgia. He attended Parkview High School in Lilburn, Georgia, where he excelled in football as a wide receiver and was also a track and field athlete.

College Career

Washington began his collegiate football career at Northwestern University in 2019.

Northwestern (2019–2022)

During his four seasons with the Northwestern Wildcats, Washington steadily increased his production:

  • 2019: Played in 11 games, recording 6 receptions for 30 yards.
  • 2020: Played in 9 games, catching 20 passes for 276 yards and 1 touchdown.
  • 2021: Played in 12 games, recording 35 receptions for 445 yards and 2 touchdowns.
  • 2022: Played in 12 games, catching 65 passes for 694 yards and 1 touchdown.

Following the 2022 season, Washington entered the [[NCAA transfer portal]] and transferred to the University of Virginia for his final year of eligibility.

Virginia (2023)

In his single season with the Virginia Cavaliers, Washington had a breakout performance, establishing himself as one of the top receivers in college football:
