Magnus Hellberg (born 13 October 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden) is a Swedish professional ice‑hockey goaltender. He most recently played for HC Dynamo Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and has previously competed in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).
Early life and junior career
Hellberg began playing hockey in the youth system of Djurgårdens IF, a club based in Stockholm. He advanced through the organization’s junior ranks and made his senior debut with Djurgårdens IF in the SHL during the 2009–10 season.
Professional career

Djurgårdens IF (2009–2015) – Hellberg served as the primary goaltender for the team, appearing in over 150 regular‑season games. He recorded a career‑high save percentage of .923 during the 2014–15 season.

New York Islanders (2015–2017) – After signing a one‑year, two‑way contract with the Islanders in July 2015, Hellberg spent most of the 2015–16 season with the AHL affiliate Bridgeport Sound Tigers, where he posted a 2.31 goals‑against average (GAA) and a .923 save percentage. He made his NHL debut on 7 March 2016, becoming the first Swedish goaltender in Islanders history.

Chicago Blackhawks (2017–2018) – Hellberg signed a one‑year contract with Chicago in July 2017. He appeared in nine NHL games, recording a .914 save percentage.

Return to Djurgårdens IF (2018–2020) – Hellberg rejoined his former Swedish club, where he posted a .923 save percentage across two seasons.

International play
Hellberg has represented Sweden at several junior tournaments, including the 2010 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. He was selected as part of Sweden’s senior national team roster for the 2022 IIHF World Championship, serving as a backup goaltender.
