Machimia chorrera is a species of moth in the family Depressariidae. It was described by the American entomologist August Busck in 1914 under the original name Cryptolechia chorrera. It is found in Panama.
The wingspan of the adult moth is 19–20 mm. The forewings are light violaceous (violet-tinged) brown, with the basal fourth of the costa (leading edge) being black. There is a small black dot at the middle of the cell and another at the end of the cell, as well as a similar spot on the middle of the fold. A faint series of black spots is present at the apical fifth, running parallel with the apical and terminal edges, which are narrowly rose-coloured. The hindwings are dull fuscous (dark brownish-grey).
The species is classified within the genus Machimia, which belongs to the subfamily Depressariinae of the family Depressariidae (formerly sometimes placed within the family Oecophoridae). The type locality is Panama.
