Mărișelu (Hungarian: Sajónagyfalu; German: Großdorf) is a commune in Bistrița-Năsăud County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of seven villages: Bârla, Domnești, Jeica, Măgurele, Mărișelu (the commune seat), Nețeni, and Sântioana.
Geography: The commune is situated on the Transylvanian Plateau, in the Nösnerland, a historic region of northeastern Transylvania. It lies in the southern part of Bistrița-Năsăud County, approximately 20 km (12 mi) from the county seat, Bistrița. It is crossed by county road DJ154. The average elevation is 357 m (1,171 ft) above sea level. The total area of the commune is 77.54 km² (29.94 sq mi).
Demographics: According to the 2021 Romanian census, the commune had a population of 2,246 inhabitants, with a population density of approximately 28.97/km².
