Lyubomir Bozhinov (Bulgarian: Любомир Божинов; born 22 May 1965) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer who played as a defender. He is also known for his subsequent career as a coach.
Playing Career Bozhinov began his playing career in the 1980s. He is most notably remembered for his time with FC Etar Veliko Tarnovo, where he was a key member of the squad that achieved historic success. In the 1990–91 season, Bozhinov played an integral role as Etar famously won the Bulgarian A Group title, the club's only top-flight championship.
Throughout his career, he also played for other prominent Bulgarian clubs, including PFC Levski Sofia and PFC Beroe Stara Zagora. He was known for his strong defensive presence and leadership on the field.
Coaching Career Following his retirement as a player, Bozhinov transitioned into coaching. He has primarily worked as an assistant coach and youth coach for various clubs in Bulgaria, including stints with his former club Etar. He has been involved in developing young talent and assisting first-team management.
