She held senior positions at Filmarchiv Austria and served as director of the Austrian Film Museum in Vienna. Marinelli contributed to the development of archival practices, organized exhibitions on cinema history, and authored several publications on film and media studies. Her professional activities emphasized the importance of preserving audiovisual heritage and enhancing public access to film archives. She passed away in Vienna in 2008.
