Loyiso Mpumlwana

Early Life and Education Loyiso Mpumlwana was born in Mdantsane, a township in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. He developed an early interest in music, particularly the trumpet. His formal musical education took him to the University of Cape Town's College of Music, where he refined his instrumental technique and deepened his understanding of jazz theory and improvisation.
