Love in a Camp (also known as Patrick in Prussia, or Love in a Camp) is a 1786 comic opera in two acts, with music composed by William Shield and a libretto written by John O'Keeffe. It was an afterpiece, meaning it was performed as a short supplementary work following a main theatrical production.
The opera is a sequel to O'Keeffe and Shield's earlier 1783 hit The Poor Soldier, with the same characters now serving in the Prussian army. It was first performed on 17 February 1786 at the Covent Garden Theatre in London. The work is classified under the genre of comedy and was originally written in English.
A version of the opera was also performed at the Theatre Royal in Dublin in 1792.
