Liugoulong station (Chinese: 六沟隆站) is a railway station located within the Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, China. It is an intermediate stop on the Lanzhou–Xinjiang Railway (Lanxin Line), a major railway artery connecting Lanzhou, Gansu Province, with Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The Lanzhou–Xinjiang Railway is a critical transportation corridor in northwestern China, facilitating the movement of both passengers and freight across vast and often remote regions. Liugoulong station supports the operational requirements of this line within the Qaidam Basin, a large arid region in Qinghai. While specific details regarding its opening date are not widely documented, its establishment is integral to the overall infrastructure and functionality of the Lanxin Line, which has been in operation since the mid-20th century.
The station is operated by China Railway (中国铁路). Its primary function contributes to the extensive network of the Chinese national railway system, ensuring the smooth passage and potential stopping of trains in this part of Qinghai Province.
