Line 3 (Guiyang Metro) is a metro line currently under construction as part of the [[Guiyang Metro]] system in [[Guiyang]], [[Guizhou Province]], [[China]]. When completed, it will be a major north-south artery, significantly expanding the city's urban rail network.
Overview
Line 3 is designed to run approximately 43 kilometers (27 miles) from the northern part of Guiyang to the southern suburbs. The line is planned to feature 29 stations, including several interchange stations with other Guiyang Metro lines. Its primary purpose is to connect key urban areas, major transport hubs, and popular cultural sites, thereby improving public transport accessibility, reducing traffic congestion, and supporting the city's ongoing development.
Route
The northern terminus of Line 3 is Bonded Zone Station (综保区站), situated in the [[Wudang District]]. From there, the line extends southward, traversing through the central areas of Guiyang, including the [[Nanming District]], and continues into the southern [[Huaxi District]]. The southern terminus of the line is Qingyan Station (青岩站), positioned near the historic [[Qingyan Ancient Town]], a significant tourist attraction.
Key points along its route include:
- Guiyang North Railway Station: Providing an important interchange with other metro lines and high-speed rail services.
- Wudang District: Serving northern residential and commercial areas.
- Huaxi District: Connecting educational institutions and scenic areas.
- Qingyan Ancient Town: Enhancing access to this cultural heritage site for both residents and tourists.
Line 3 will facilitate transfers with [[Line 1 (Guiyang Metro)]] and [[Line 2 (Guiyang Metro)]] at designated interchange stations, integrating it seamlessly into the broader Guiyang Metro network.
History

Official construction commenced in late 2019. The project is a significant undertaking aimed at enhancing the city's infrastructure. Line 3 is expected to open in phases in the mid-2020s, with trial operations potentially commencing earlier.
Operations
Upon its completion, Line 3 will be operated by the Guiyang Rail Transit Group Co., Ltd. (贵阳市轨道交通集团有限公司), the state-owned enterprise responsible for the construction, operation, and management of the entire Guiyang Metro system.
