Line 10 (CPTM) is a commuter‑rail line operated by the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) within the São Paulo Metropolitan Region, Brazil. The line is officially designated the Turquoise line (Linha 10‑Turquesa) and runs principally between Luz station in central São Paulo and the terminal at Rio Grande da Serra, located in the southern part of the state.
Route and infrastructure
The line follows the historic railway corridor that previously formed part of the Estrada de Ferro Sorocabana and later the Ferrovia do Litoral, which was incorporated into the CPTM network in the early 1990s. It is a double‑track, standard‑gauge railway electrified at 3 kV DC via overhead catenary. The total length of the line is roughly 36 km (about 22 mi) and it serves more than twenty stations, providing suburban connections to municipalities such as São Caetano do Sul, Santo André, and São Bernardo do Campo before reaching Rio Grande da Serra.
Operations
Line 10 operates regular all‑day passenger service with a typical headway of 6–12 minutes during peak periods and 12–20 minutes at off‑peak times. The rolling stock consists primarily of CPTM’s series 5000 and series 7000 electric multiple units, which are equipped for high‑capacity commuter service.

The railway infrastructure on which Line 10 runs dates to the early 20th century, having been constructed to serve industrial and freight traffic along São Paulo’s southern corridor. After the dissolution of the former state railway companies (including the Sorocabana), the line was transferred to CPTM in 1992. Subsequent upgrades, including track duplication, signaling modernization, and electrification, were completed throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, establishing the line’s present commuter‑rail function.
