Linda Scheid (July 28 1942 – June 21 2011) was an American politician who served as a Democratic member of the Arizona State Legislature. She represented the 21st legislative district in the Arizona Senate, holding office from 1999 to 2003 and again from 2005 until her death in 2011. During her tenure, she served as the Senate minority leader and was noted for her work on education, health‑care, and consumer‑protection legislation. Prior to her service in the Senate, Scheid was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives, where she served from 1993 to 1999. She died in Phoenix, Arizona, after a battle with cancer.
