Description
Limnaecia conjuncta is a small moth species within the family Cosmopterigidae. Adult individuals typically have a wingspan of approximately 10–12 mm. The forewings are generally ochreous to brownish with subtle darker markings; the hindwings are paler and relatively narrow. Detailed morphological characters (e.g., genitalia structure) used for definitive identification are recorded in the original species description by Meyrick (1914) and subsequent taxonomic revisions.
Distribution
The species has been recorded from Australia, with confirmed occurrences in the states of Queensland and New South Wales. It is considered endemic to the Australian region; no reliable records exist outside this area.

Like many cosmopterigid moths, it is presumed to inhabit sclerophyll forests and woodland environments where host plants for its larval stages are available. Taxonomic Notes
The genus Limnaecia comprises a diverse group of micromoths distributed primarily in the Australasian and Afrotropical regions. L. conjuncta was first described by the British entomologist Edward Meyrick in 1914 under the name Limnoecia conjuncta; it was later transferred to the genus Limnaecia.
