Leslie "Les" Hart (1917–1996) was an English professional footballer and manager, best known for his lifelong association with Bury Football Club. His tenure at the club spanned 44 years, during which he served as a player, captain, trainer, physiotherapist, and manager.
Born in Golborne, Lancashire, Hart signed with Bury as a professional in 1936. A defender by trade, he made 280 league appearances for the club. His playing career was significantly impacted by the Second World War; during this period, he served in the Royal Army Service Corps and appeared as a wartime guest player for several other clubs, though he remained contracted to Bury.
Following his retirement from active play in 1953, Hart transitioned into the club's coaching and medical staff. He served as the first-team trainer for many years and was appointed manager of Bury in 1969, a role he held until 1970. His career is frequently cited in British sporting history as a notable example of one-club loyalty.
In recognition of his service, Bury Football Club named the South Stand at their home ground, Gigg Lane, the "Les Hart Stand." Hart died in 1996 at the age of 79. He remains a central figure in the club's history and is commemorated for his multifaceted contributions to the organization over four decades.
