Leon Searcy (born September 27, 1971) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive guard and tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for twelve seasons. He played college football for the University of Miami, where he was a member of the Hurricanes' 1991 national championship team. Searcy was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round (13th overall) of the 1994 NFL Draft and subsequently played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers, and New York Sentinels of the United Football League (UFL).
Early life and education
Leon Searcy was born in Miami, Florida. He attended Miami Northwestern Senior High School, where he excelled in football and was highly recruited as an offensive lineman. He accepted a scholarship to the University of Miami, playing for the Hurricanes from 1990 to 1993.
College career
At Miami, Searcy became a starter on the offensive line and contributed to the team's success, including the 1991 season when the Hurricanes won the national championship. He earned All-American honors and was recognized as one of the premier collegiate offensive linemen of his class.
Professional career

Selected 13th overall in the 1994 NFL Draft, Searcy signed with the Steelers. He initially played at guard before transitioning to left tackle in 1996, taking over for legendary left tackle Mike Webster’s former position.
