Lee B. Goldman (born 1946) is an American physician, academic administrator, and medical textbook author. He is best known as the senior author of the internal‑medicine reference work Goldman's Cecil Medicine and has contributed to a number of other clinical education series.
Education and early career
Goldman earned his M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. After completing an internship and residency in internal medicine, he joined the faculty of the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, where he held positions in the Department of Medicine and in medical education.
Academic administration
Goldman served as dean of the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine from 2005 to 2009. During his tenure he oversaw curricular reforms, expanded research initiatives, and advocated for diversity and inclusion in medical training.
