Lechów is a village located in the administrative district of Gmina Bieliny, within Kielce County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. It is situated approximately 6 kilometers (4 miles) east of Bieliny and 26 kilometers (16 miles) east of the regional capital, Kielce.
The village is positioned within the Świętokrzyskie Mountains region, an area characterized by some of the oldest mountain ranges in Europe. Historically, Lechów belonged to the Sandomierz Voivodeship, a part of the Lesser Poland province of the Polish Crown. Following the partitions of Poland, the area was incorporated into the Russian Partition before returning to Polish sovereignty in 1918.
According to the 2021 National Census of Population and Housing, Lechów has a population of approximately 1,123 inhabitants. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture and services related to its proximity to the Świętokrzyski National Park. The village features a local primary school and the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul, which serves the local Catholic community.
Lechów is connected to the regional transport network via local roads that provide access to the National Road 74, a major transit route connecting Kielce with Lublin.
