Larry Sheets (born June 25, 1971) is a former American professional football player who played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL). He attended the University of South Carolina, where he played college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Sheets entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 1995, signing with the New York Giants. He also spent time on the roster of the Detroit Lions during his professional career.
During his tenure with the Giants (1995–1999), Sheets primarily contributed on special teams and as a backup running back. Over the course of his NFL career, he recorded 483 rushing yards on 136 carries, averaging 3.6 yards per attempt, and scored three rushing touchdowns. Additionally, he accumulated 1,186 all‑purpose yards, including contributions as a return specialist.
After retiring from professional football, Sheets has remained involved in various community and philanthropic endeavors, including youth mentorship programs in his hometown of Columbia, South Carolina. He has also participated in alumni events and football clinics associated with the University of South Carolina.
