Larry Levan (August 23 1954 – November 29 1992) was an American disc jockey and record producer best known for his influential residency at the New York City nightclub Paradise Garage.

He began his career in the early 1970s, working at various New York venues before securing the resident DJ position at Paradise Garage in 1977, a role he held until the club’s closure in 1987.
