Lake Raku (Estonian: Raku järv or Kivijärv) is an artificial lake in Estonia. It is located partially in the city of Tallinn and partially in the village of Männiku, situated between Männiku Road and the Viljandi highway.
The lake has a surface area of 219.8 hectares (543 acres) and contains five islands with a combined area of 0.8 hectares (2.0 acres). Its maximum length is 2,920 meters (9,580 ft), and its shoreline measures 14,180 meters (46,520 ft). The average depth is 6.4 meters (21 ft), with a maximum depth of 18.7 meters (61 ft). The water volume is approximately 14,890,000 cubic meters (526,000,000 cu ft), and the surface elevation is 41.4 meters (136 ft) above sea level.
The lake was formed as a result of sand and gravel mining activities, which continue in its southern section. It is a popular recreational spot for activities such as kayaking, cycling, fishing, and walking, offering a natural and secluded setting near the capital city.
