The Lahat railway station is a former railway station located in Lahat, a town in the state of Perak, Malaysia. It was a component of Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM)'s West Coast Line, which extends from Padang Besar in the north to Gemas in the south.
Historically, the station served as a stop for passengers utilising KTM Intercity services and, at various times, potentially KTM Komuter services depending on the operational routes. It provided a vital transport link for the local community of Lahat, connecting them to major towns and cities along the electrified and non-electrified portions of the network.
With the ongoing modernization and electrification of the West Coast Line, particularly for the introduction of Electric Train Service (ETS), many older stations like Lahat were either upgraded, bypassed, or ceased passenger operations. The Lahat railway station falls into the latter category, having been decommissioned for passenger services. While the railway tracks through Lahat remain active for ETS and freight trains, the station building and its platforms are no longer maintained or open for public use. Its closure is indicative of the shift in Malaysia's railway strategy towards faster, high-capacity inter-city services with a reduced number of main stops.
