Lê Thị Phương

Lê Thị Phương (born 18 December 1991) is a Vietnamese track and field athlete specializing in the long jump. She is a multi-time medalist at the Southeast Asian Games, representing Vietnam internationally.


Career

Lê Thị Phương emerged as a prominent long jumper in Southeast Asia in the early 2010s. She achieved her first major international success at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games held in Palembang, Indonesia, where she won the gold medal in the women's long jump event with a jump of 6.36 meters. This performance solidified her position as a leading athlete in the region.

She continued her dominance at the 2013 Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw, Myanmar, successfully defending her long jump title with a leap of 6.29 meters, securing her second consecutive gold medal at the regional multisport event.

At the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore, Lê Thị Phương earned a silver medal in the long jump, achieving a distance of 6.23 meters, placing behind Maria Natalia Londa of Indonesia.

Throughout her career, she has also participated in various other international competitions, including the Asian Athletics Championships and the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships, representing Vietnam. Her outdoor personal best in the long jump is 6.50 meters, set in Hanoi in 2011. Her indoor personal best is 6.20 meters, achieved in Hangzhou in 2012.
