Kwame Kenyatta (born 1948) is an American politician and public servant who represented New Jersey's 16th Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly. A member of the Democratic Party, he served four terms in the state legislature from 1982 to 1990.
Early life and education
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Kenyatta attended Trenton Central High School. He pursued higher education at Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey), where he earned his bachelor's degree.Career
Kenyatta's political career began with his successful election to the New Jersey General Assembly in 1981. He was re-elected three times, serving a total of eight years in the legislature.
