Kund Malir is a coastal beach and desert landscape located in Hingol National Park, in the Lasbela District of Balochistan, Pakistan. It is situated approximately 145 kilometers (90 miles) from Karachi along the Makran Coastal Highway (N-10).
The area is characterized by its unique topography, where the Hingol River meets the Arabian Sea, creating a delta that features sand dunes, mud volcanoes, and rocky outcrops adjacent to the shoreline. The beach is known for its relatively pristine condition, attributed to its remote location and protected status within the national park.
Kund Malir serves as a notable stop for travelers on the Makran Coastal Highway. It is frequented by tourists for recreation, photography, and camping. The surrounding Hingol National Park is the largest national park in Pakistan and holds ecological significance for its wildlife, including the Sindh ibex, chinkara gazelle, and marsh crocodiles, as well as migratory birds.
Infrastructure in the immediate vicinity is limited. Facilities typically include a Pakistan Coast Guards check post and a few temporary or semi-permanent food stalls catering to day-trippers. Overnight accommodation generally requires camping equipment. Access is via the Makran Coastal Highway, which has significantly improved connectivity to the region since its completion.
