Kulhama (also spelled Kulhoam) is a village situated in Tangmarg tehsil of Baramulla district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The village is located 42 kilometres from the district headquarters Baramulla and 7 kilometres from the tehsil headquarters Tangmarg.
Geography
Kulhama is located at coordinates 34°03′29″N 74°28′16″E. The village lies in the vicinity of the Wular Lake, Asia's second-largest freshwater lake, and has been subject to periodic flooding and landslide risks.
Demographics
According to the 2011 census of India, Kulhama has a total population of 531 people, comprising 256 males and 275 females. The literacy rate of the village is 74.26%, which is higher than the Jammu and Kashmir average of 67.16%. Male literacy stands at 82.38%, while female literacy is 66.98%.
The village has 123 children below the age of six years. The scheduled caste and scheduled tribe populations are recorded as zero. The total number of workers is 100, with 29 classified as main workers and 71 as marginal workers.
