Kowloon South (1995 constituency) was a geographical constituency in the Provisional Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 1995 to 1997. It was one of the twenty geographical constituencies introduced for the 1995 Legislative Council election, the last election under British colonial rule.
The constituency was carved out from the previous multi-member constituencies of Kowloon West and Kowloon East and comprised the southern parts of the Kowloon Peninsula. Specifically, it covered areas such as Yau Tsim Mong District and the southern parts of Kowloon City District.
The 1995 electoral reforms introduced a single-seat, single-vote system for all geographical constituencies. In the 1995 election, Lau Chin-shek of the Democratic Party won the seat, defeating his opponents from the pro-Beijing camp.
Following the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong to China in 1997, the Legislative Council was dissolved, and a Provisional Legislative Council was established. The electoral boundaries were subsequently redrawn under the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Basic Law, leading to the abolition of the Kowloon South constituency. Its functions and geographical areas were absorbed into new electoral districts, primarily Kowloon West, for subsequent elections.
